Norwood Promotional Products

Promotional products and merchandise are a great way to promote your brand. With the ability to imprint your company name and logo on a massive variety of everyday items (such as shirts, mugs, bottles, and even LED lights!), these promotional gifts are an essential part at trade shows, conferences, and for showing client appreciation.

The global promotional product industry is therefore large, valuable, and still developing. With this in mind, a quick Google search will show you how many companies there are to choose from!

Interested in promotional products for your next company giveaway? Opt for eco-friendly items.

For your next tradeshow or company event, choose environmentally safe products! Other companies often use products that are wasteful and harmful to our natural environment. The continuous use of non-recyclable materials, found in many plastics, poses a dangerous threat to life on earth.

Norwood Promotional Products is one of the leading suppliers of imprinted promotional products, with over 5,000 items to choose from. As environmentally-conscious consumers, we applaud their goingreen® product solutions.

Norwood offers a selection of eco-friendly imprintable products, such as flashlights, calendars, bags, and lanyards. These promotional items are often made of recycled and recyclable materials, which reduce the need to waste non-renewable environmental sources. For example, their calendars are often printed on partially recycled paper, and even offer green living tips! The ability to imprint your company’s name and logo makes this products, along with others, an invaluable marketing tool.

For a purely eco-friendly selection of promotional items, take a look at BestDealPromo. Our products are often reusable, recycled, rechargable, BPA-free!

The 3 R’s: Reduce

Posted by Eric
July 14th, 2011

It is up to us to take action.

There are many ways to help protect and preserve our natural environment, and every effort counts.

We all know the Three R’s of the Environment – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – but how many of us actually follow a truly eco-conscious lifestyle? BestDealPromo is proud to offer some eco-friendly tips that will help you save the environment (and money, too!), starting with the very basics.

Tips to Reduce Waste

  • Think Before You Buy. Think before you go impulse shopping, and lessen the load on both nature and your wallet. When you’re shopping, take the time to stop and examine the potential impact of the product. Is this product packaged in an eco-friendly manner? Is it safely disposable ? Reusable? Do I even need it?

Bamboo, as the fastest growing plant on Earth, is an extremely renewable source.

  • Bring Your Own. At the drive-through, cafeteria or restaurant, remember to bring your reusable utensils instead of relying on plastic utensils such as forks and spoons. Or, simply keep your plastic utensils and reuse them for later! At the grocery store, choose reusable tote bags over disposable plastic bags. As another tip, take your mug wherever you go! Often, coffee shops (such as Starbucks) offer a small discount to those who bring their own reusable drink container! Every piece of trash makes a difference.

This reusable tote bag is perfect for groceries.

  • Buy In Bulk. Often, buying in large quantities at a time, as opposed to individual products that are packaged for single use, is both cost-effective and easier on the environment. Do you pack drink boxes for your child’s daily school lunch? Choose larger containers of drinks and give your child a reusable drink bottle, which eliminates the need to dispose of the drink container, straw and associated plastic! Many health food stores have bulk bins, and sell everything from grains to cereal to cleaning products.

This BPA-free, reusable bottle folds up when empty. A perfect alternative to wasteful, harmful plastic.

  • Simplify Your Life. Only the privileged are able to live in wasteful excess. As a philosophy, only keep belongings that you use or enjoy on a regular basis. Take the effort to eliminate what you don’t need – purchase less, donate your extra belongings to local charities, or even invent new uses for household items! A great way to save our earth, as well as your space and money.

Eat local! Recipe: Caramel Dipped Pears

Posted by Lydia
September 21st, 2010

Pears are in season here in Ontario (they are in season generally August through October)! I suggest that you go to your local farmer’s market and choose fresh, in-season food. Even a fruit as simple as a pear can be incredibly delicious. And since you’re buying local, you will be supporting your local farmers while reducing environmental costs in transportation.

Here is a super easy recipe from the Ontario Tender Fruit Producers for Caramel Dipped Pears:

Servings: 4

Time Required: approx. 30 minutes preparation + 30 minutes to set in the fridge

Difficulty: *

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 1 cup caramel squares
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
  • Vanilla ice cream

Instructions:

  1. Set pears flesh side down on paper towels.
  2. Melt the caramel: Melt caramel squares and whipping cream, stirring frequently in a bowl or double boiler over a saucepan of simmering water.
  3. Toast the walnuts: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread walnuts evenly and bake for about 5 minutes in a 375 F/190 C oven, until walnuts are lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool completely. Spread the walnuts in a dish.
  4. Dip pears in caramel and walnuts: Dip the pears in caramel carefully and evenly to form a thick, even layer of caramel. Roll in walnuts and place on a baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the pears. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve with ice cream and enjoy!
